possibly born in Lincoln Co., Tn. She probably was the youngest of several
children. At some time in 1830's they migrated to Marshall Co., Alabama. She
was married to David Oct. 4th, 1846, and they migrated to Butler Co.,
Missouri., in 1850 census. David was killed in Civil War, 1864. Rhoda

born in Texas and on my grandfather it states that her name is Emma Ellen

side (close to that of G.W.)and as of now I believe that to the grave of Emma

David Sherwood 1826 "Shelby Co., Ohio" "Chloe Brown married
David Sherwood in 1826. They had several children which include: Ennis, David,
Sarah, Cornelius and Prudence. Cornelius is my husband's lineage. In the
family, there is a 'legend' about the kidnapping of Chloe and the death of her
husband and child during this kidnapping in the 1850's. She was kidnapped for
approximately 7 yrs and in 1857 she remarried Joseph Kerby. Also, am trying to
connect Chloe with her parents. I am checking if Basil Brown and Nancy Davis,
both from Pa, are her parents? Also researching David's parents. Found
information regarding Chloe and she had a middle name of Emmer. Is this a

their son William Otis Berry (born Sept. 18,1919), married Dorothy Leone
Beck(birth date Nov. 29,1920) on July 31,1945 in Columbus,OH; I am their
daughter, Karen E. Myers.
It is said that this line of our family were
""bred and born, lived and died"" predominately in the
areas immediately surrounding Buckeye Lake. My ""Great Aunt
Mildred"" Pairen (sp?) had a house there that she and her husband
built with their own hands and they lived out their lives there. Mildred's
husband founded and ran the Buckeye Lake Pop Factory on the family land.
