I believe that several of the Olivers found nearby in Washington County in 1850 are siblings or related somehow, however, I cannot prove it, because I've never found her parents. . bonnieh@bigskytel.com

Mary Ann Robinson Lathen 1889 Tenafly,NJ John William Lathen 1912 New Jersey and New York Children: Dr. John William Lathen,Jr. I am seeking information regarding the birth parents of my paternal grandmother, Mary Ann Robinson Lathen. She was taken as a foster child into the home of Jacob and Rebecca Robinson -the only Black Family in Woodridge, NJ. This was in 1899. She was a mulatto and remembered being in an orphanage in Brooklyn adjacent to a nursing home for the elderly. Mary remembered that she and her grandmother's surname was Gould. I have reason to believe that my grandmother Mary Ann Robinson Lathen was born to a Black member of the Robinson family and a white Gould family member in northern NJ. Mary Ann was a piano teacher and organist at the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation in Jersey City, NJ and later played organ, primarily, in the Black Baptist churches of Bergen Cty.
